A slice of life film set in Goa, LWF is about the Monteiro family and the crisis which they are dealing with. Bollywood has had its share of coming of age films, but this is probably one of the good coming of middle age films. What makes this film a delight to watch is the pitch perfect casting.

Savio Monteiro (Ash Chandler) is a manager of an underwear company and his wife Annie (Shernaz Patel) has a restaurant to take care of. Their adopted daughter Ruth (Arika Silaichia) is dealing with her identity crisis, while her parents are coming to terms with the wrinkles in their lives, not just literally, figuratively as well. The young filmmaker sets the tone for his film with the opening sequence itself and doesn’t waste time in taking the story further.

Watch & Reviee Preview About Love, Wrinkle-Free, Download Love, Wrinkle-Free Movie With Downloadable Audio Video & Mp3 Songs 2012Savio is trying to save his career and give it fillip with his unique idea of making and selling edible underwear that too in Goan flavours. Annie is trying hard to retain her place in the local church choir, but isn’t finding any success. Ruth is an overgrown child with a wry sense of humour and is trying to figure out how she can feel at home in her own home. To make matters worse she has a Tibetan boyfriend Tashi, who doubles up as a help at her mother’s restaurant.

The Monteiro household is dealing with life with their quirky sense of humour when all of a sudden they come to know that Mrs Monteiro is expecting a baby. When the doctor first breaks this news, Savio looks shocked and asks how? Annie is overjoyed about finally having her own baby, but Ruth is dealing with her own demons and doesn’t care much about the new arrival.

Rajiv Bhatia (Theron C.) and Natalie (Seema Rehmani) who initially seem to be a couple enter the lives of Monteiros and add to their miseries. By the interval point you are so invested in the lives of all the characters, you might not want to leave the auditorium. Savio is a messed up man and he doesn’t want to give any stress to his expecting wife. He loses his job, he is robbed of his money and the only person who can help him is – Bruno Corrieo (Sohrab Ardeshir) a closet gangster who runs a night club. Bruno’s son Jacob (Ashwin Mushran) is a drug addict who has just come back from rehab and is commissioned to help Savio.

Love, Wrinkle-free is about what happens when all these characters come together and how they come to terms with the problems life has thrown at them. Watching Savio and Annie together is a treat in itself, as they look like a real life couple who are being filmed without their knowledge. Goa looks more beautiful because of the impressive cinematography and the editing makes the film watching experience even better. Best thing about LWF is that it is not gimmicky and everything about the film is real. Even the music isn’t forced, which is a rare case in the times of item numbers et al.

The ending of the film might leave you somewhat unsettled because of the loose ends, which the director has probably left to the imagination of the audience. The characters played by Seema Rahmani and Ashwin Mushran are a little hard to understand, especially towards the finale, but they are likeable with all their flaws. There is no doubt that Sandeep Mohan is a good storyteller with a unique voice and we expect a better film next time. Do watch this coming of middle age film this weekend; you will not regret!

Who said sex has anything to do with anti-wrinkle creams? Uplifts or artificial 'jobs'? Madonna was pregnant at 42. Charlie Chaplin fathered a child at 73. Even our pleasantly plump Annie Monterio (Shernaz Patel) gets a 'little' pregnant at forty-six. After years of prayers, and divine intervention (actually the missionary position) she is blessed with her 'labour of love', a second child; the first is an adopted teenager, Ruth, who wonders why her parents didn't use a condom in the first place. While Annie's antique life is all about Goa and being a true wine-drinking Goan, singing in the church choir and attending Sunday mass, her much younger and less holy husband, Savio (Ash Chandler), an executive with an underwear brand has a higher calling. He believes there's no shortage of kinky people in India, so he sets out to launch an edible lingerie brand called 'Eat Me' (in flavours like vindaloo, bibinca, tikka, etc). 'Panty'-ing already, eh? Hold on, there's more to Savio's enthusiasm. He joins an inspirational salsa group (whatever!) by 'Cleetus' (thankfully, not a sex-guru), where a 'brief' encounter with a subtly flirty amateur photographer, Natalie (Seema Rehmani) and her short-term boyfriend, gets him into a mess that disrupts the breezy calm of his mundane life. Enter, Bruno ( Sohrab Ardeshir), the local Goan Don, who tries to be Savio's saviour, but only ends up complicating this feni-flavoured film. Shernaz Patel lights up the screen, like sunlight glazing the silvery beaches of Goa. She's 100% natural, without a care for creases or crow's feet, jawlines or jelly bellies.

Watch & Reviee Preview About Love, Wrinkle-Free, Download Love, Wrinkle-Free Movie With Downloadable Audio Video & Mp3 Songs 2012Ash Chandler is the perfect 'Mac bugga', wading through his mid-life madness, surprise fertility, erotic business ideas and urges (sexual and otherwise), with confidence and casualness. He's a cool (God)father too, often impersonating the iconic Marlon Brando to humour his family over dinner.

In his first feature film, director Sandeep Mohan captures pretty Goa the way Goans would love it - the setting sun, white beaches, minus the Pamela-Anderson-inspired nymphets, drugs, rave, rock 'n' roll. It's simple, pure, and breaks cosmetic cliches - that's the beauty. But halfway through the film, the wrinkles steep deeper, in the script that is. Washed away with stretched sub-plots in the wrong positions (don't think dirty), the film turns flaccid and is no longer the sweet, 'upright' Goan slice of life it set out to be. And we're left craving for a spicy Sorpotel instead. Burp!

Film "Chutki Bajaa Ke You are watching a predictably boring 90’s film, preferably a C-grade production with an amazingly simplistic and dumb storyline. You have to look at actors who wear the same expression throughout the film and mouth the most cliched lines. The conventional ‘hero’ and ‘heroine’ break into a dance and go on a romantic escapade absolutely unannounced. There’s err…a black villain…a corrupt MLA, a squeaky clean industrialist, the hero, with no playful or fun shades to his holier than thou persona. The political battle between the hero and villain begins in the middle of an item song, followed by a bludgeoning background score, a titillating skin show and overt deshbhakti. If you can stand all this unfolding on the big screen at a lazy – at times even at a deadeningly lethargic pace – and want to test your threshold for pain, go catch this one.

When a clean-hearted industrialist (newbie Chaitannya) wants to start a Milk plant with philanthropic intentions in his dusty village, the regional MLA (Mukesh Tiwari) opposes him for his ulterior political motives. Chaitanya’s character adopts ‘state the truth as it is’ agenda and irritates the MLA saab. The villagers demand a new MLA and that doesn’t go down well with the current one. A diligent farmer (Omkar Das Manikpuri) plays a crucial role in unifying the divided villagers and tries his best to bring about a positive change. Will he succeed in his motive? Will a new MLA be elected?

While watching MLA, one can sense that the director wants to give a strong message with tremendous urgency, but in doing so he’s got all the basic elements horribly wrong. His intention doesn’t match the execution. Right from the story to the screenplay and to the acting – everything about this venture is cringe-worthy. The hero (Chaitanya) wears the same expression throughout, whether he is romancing his firang heroine or fighting his arch rival – the look on his face (almost constipated!) just doesn’t change. Mukesh Tiwari is the only saving grace of the film. Omkar Das Manikpuri’s performance makes you wonder if he’s the same guy who gave us the delightful character of Natha in Peepli Live. And what makes the already bad movie worse, is the predictable elements that the director conveniently uses just to spice up the drama. So you have a mandatory rape, you have a corrupt cop who hams, you have a seedy item song with oodles of cleavage show…the list is endless….
Preview: MLA The Inside Intruder With Downloadable Audio Video Mp3 SongsA few minutes into the movie and you realise there is ample scope to generate a something (burning issues of utmost importance) out of nothing (a cast and movie pretty unheard of). There's a lecture on farmer suicides and employment scope. There is also an uprising -- of the locals against corrupt politicos and policemen - where change and people's movement shall be the ultimate winner. But all is lost to the too-many-loopholes in the script.

The big fight turns into a clash of the egos between MLA Kay Kay ( Mukesh Tiwari) and industrialist Anuj ( Chaitanya Naidu). The idea of setting up a milk factory is lost to the tycoon's foreign-return girlfriend, Anna ( Ana Kanandadze) who is either seen singing songs or getting her gender right. 'Main bolunga', is what she tells a cop. The common man, aka villagers, are just too busy dancing to the tunes of some raunchy item songs scattered here and there. As for the sitting MLA, he is seen sitting for most part of the movie. He creates chaos while he 'sits' with face pack on; while he 'sits' ogling at the item he wants to bed next.
Finally, it's the performances that leave you very disappointed. Even someone like Omkar Das Manikpuri (that's Natha of Peepli live fame) seems disinterested to the core. The first time he speaks is right in the beginning of the movie saying the village needs the milk plant. No explanation whatsoever. The second (and last time) he actually speaks is when Mr Tycoon sympathises with him. Omkar's reaction: 'It's okay... at least things are fine now'. That after his daughter is harassed all through the movie, raped, and finally forced to commit suicide.

Now that leaves us with nothing much to speak about.

Some films which enthral you and deport you into another world, that of vivid imaginations. Even if they are made for kids, they have the ability to hold the attention of audiences of all ages, just because of the conviction their makers show in their product.

Sadly, Dharmraj Films’ fantasy film Chutki Bajaa Ke possesses none of the aforementioned qualities. An orphan christened Chottu (Ishant Indaliya) wanders from place to place looking for menial chores, fighting for his survival. He gets chucked out of the house, where he was a servant, being accused of theft (falsely). He gets humiliated at a restaurant, where he is tripling up as the waiter, a help and the delivery guy. The manager of the restaurant taunts him, beats him and refuses to give him food or money. You heart goes out to the kid, but even more so to the audience who is bombarded with inane dialogues, silly scenes and an even more horrific soundtrack.

..Download, Review, Trailer, Preview Of New Hindi Releasing Movie Film Chutki Bajaa Ke With Downloadable Audio Video Mp3 SongsThe kid faces a reversal of fortunes, when he finds a taveez (necklace), which upon wearing, can make him swap his appearance with anyone else in the vicinity, just by snapping his fingers. Thus, life changes for Chottu, who can now enjoy all the pleasures of life that he missed out on, teach his detractors a lesson, and help nab the villains in the end. The music of the film composed by Raaj Aashoo-Rajeev Tanvi is in one simple word, abominable. If the scenes itself don’t put you to sleep, the songs definitely will. They would have been better off with no music at all. The script keeps faltering after regular intervals and there are hardly any high points in the film.

The story is a very predictable one, riddled with clichés. In spite of that, there are many films that have fared well, thanks to good performances and able direction. The makers have also incorporated a few scenes about the issue of child labour. However, even these supposedly serious sequences start seeming obnoxious, thanks to some preposterous acting by the adults in the film. Yes, you heard it right.

In this film about ‘Child Labour’, the adults are the biggest let-downs. The makers, the technicians, the bunch of senior actors, including an actor like Mukesh Tiwari, fail to contribute anything to this film. The child actors, Ishant in particular, do their job well. If only the director (Vedant Vishnoi) had kept away with the clichés and the shenanigans with which we used to associate the films of the 90s, Chutki Bajaa Ke would have been a good product.
Dharmraj Films presents CHUTKI BAJAA KE, an upcoming children film, set to release on 25th May, 2012.

Directed by Vedant Vishnoi and produced by Mukul Raj, the film stars Ishant Indaliya, Mukesh Tiwari, Shilpi Sharma, Abhijeet Lehiri, Shashi Sharma, Aslam Khan and Ashish Sharma.

The music is given by Raaj Aashoo and Rajeev Thanvi.
